With Halloween just a few weeks away, it’s time to start planning this year’s party!
Here are some fun themes for your party, no matter what aspect of Halloween and/or fall is your favorite:
All Things Scary
Create a spooky environment with decorations, and encourage your friends to come in their scariest costumes! There are several easy and inexpensive decorations you can use, including:
- Making labels to wrap around your beverages that say things like “Poison” or “Witches Brew.”
- “Finger-paint” on white decorations with red food coloring to create the illusion of bloody fingerprints.
- Use radishes, olives, and an ice cube tray to create iced eyeball garnishes for your drinks.
A Themed Occasion
Use a theme that you and your friends enjoy, and plan accordingly! This can be as broad as “Disney characters” or “80’s”, or specifically relate to your favorite TV show or movie. As a bonus, you can offer prizes to your friends for best dressed and other superlatives to encourage them to get into the spirit!
For the Non-Traditional Set
Halloween not your thing? Have a plain ol’ fall party! If you love all things pumpkin, this is a great opportunity to have a pumpkin carving contest, or even a pumpkin pie contest to see who has the best recipe!
No matter what your style, there’s sure to be a way to celebrate Halloween in a fun way with your friends this year! Need a new place to host your guests? Stop into Shaker Run and see what it would be like to live here!
