Spring has finally ARRIVED!!!

Shaker Run - Thursday, April 03, 2014

It looks like spring is finally here! I love waking up to the birds chirping in the morning and the sun shining bright. Soon you will be able to open up your windows and let the fresh air in. It's a great time to brighten up your balcony/patio area by adding some pretty flowers and placing your lawn chairs and tables out. we recommend residents to enjoy this warmer weather by walking and/or riding bikes around the complex. PLEASE observe the speed limit when driving through our community for the safety to all.

As a reminder personal BBQ's are NOT allowed on any patio/balcony or in the lawn away from the building. This is a fire hazard for the town of Colonie as well as a Rosetti Property policy that we need to ensure we are following. You are more than welcome to use our BBQ outside the club house at any time. Please ensure if you are to use our grill that you remember to clean up after yourself once you have finished.

With the warmer weather approaching we wanted to inform the residents that our pool will be open beginning Memorial Day weekend, May 24, 2014. It will be open on weekends only (Saturday & Sunday) from 5/24 to 6/14. Starting June 14, the pool will be open every day for resident's use.

Should you ever have a question, concern or maintenance request please do not hesitate to call the Rental Office (452-3044) or stop by to chat and have a cup of coffee or tea!

Daylight Saving Time - Spring

Shaker Run - Friday, March 07, 2014

You know Spring is on its way when it's time to turn our clocks ahead! That's right, Daylight Saving Time also known as "Spring Forward" occurs this Sunday, March 9, 2014. At 2am Sunday March 9th, you need to adjust your clocks to show that it is 3am. This is a bittersweet switch as it means Spring is on its way (YAY!!!) but for non-morning folks this means 1 less hour of sleep.

A little history fact on Daylight saving time - it is a change in the standard time with the purpose of getting more of the daylight by having the sun rise 1 hour later in the morning and having the sun set 1 hour later in the evening. Daylight saving time is now implemented in over 70 countries worldwide and affects over a billion people each year.

Here's to the warming weather and NO MORE SNOW!!! I know I'm ready to see green grass and beautiful flowers.
